A retired Iberville Parish lunchroom worker with 30 years of service, she died at noon Friday, June 22, 2001, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 72 and a resident and native of Plaquemine. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Chruch from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Monday, celebrated by the Rev. Dean Martin. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by a daughter, Stella Ann LeBlanc, Brusly; two sons, Ronald Joseph LeBlanc and wife Melanie, Plaquemine, and Steven Anthony LeBlanc, Baton Rouge; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Irene and Wesley Johnson, Plaquemine, Theresa Lopez, Baton Rouge, Evelyn Palazzo, Walker, and Bernadette and Arthur Millien, Donaldsonville; three brothers and spouses, Floyd and Lelia Hidalgo, Plaquemine, Henry and Cheryl Hidalgo, Brusly, and Charles and Olivia Hidalgo, Addis; and grandchildren, Kristyl Vicknair and her husband, Marc, Chancy Alexander, Ronald LeBlanc Jr., Shannon LeBlanc and Jason Dufour. Preceded in death by her husband, Emile Joseph LeBlanc, who was a former Plaquemine chief of police; and parents, Irene and Anthony Hidalgo. Pallbearers will be Marc Vicknair, Landen Alexander, Ronald LeBlanc Jr., David Lawrence, Floyd Hidalgo, Shannon LeBlanc, Wesley Johnson, Mickey Rivet and Arthur Millien. She was a member of St. John Altar Society. The family extends a special thanks to Emma and Vontrell Woodside. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or a charity devoted to osteoporosis.
