JULES PHILIP "BOOMY" An insurance executive for 44 years, presently with the Mothe Group, he died at 8:45 p.m. Sun-day, June 24, 2001, at his residence in Belle Rose. He was 64 and a na-tive of Donaldsonville. Visiting at St. Jules Catholic Church, Belle Rose, from 7:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday, celebrated by the Rev. Gary Belsome. Recitation of the rosary at the church at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by his wife, Catherine Burns LeBlanc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Erin and Jeff Dupre, Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Dana and Michael LeBlanc, Houma; a daughter-in-law, Allison Griffin LeBlanc, Gonzales; a sister and brother-in-law, Rosemary "Cookie" and Sidney Harp, Donaldsonville; and seven grand-children, Jeffery, Jordan and Sarah Dupre, Michael, Daniel and Nicholas LeBlanc and London Le-Blanc. Preceded in death by par-ents, J.P. Sr. and Enola Blanchard LeBlanc; a son, Jules Philip "Phil" LeBlanc III; and infant twin sister, June Ann LeBlanc. Pallbearers will be Anthony Trepagnier, Ed-ward Burns, Dennis Burns, James Waguespack, Terry Landry, Rod-ney Burns, Gary Burns, Robert Burns Jr., Henry Burns, Jeff Dupre and Michael LeBlanc. Hon-orary pallbearers are his seven grandchildren. At the time of his death he was agency director of the Mothe Group in Gretna, which includes Mothe Life, Evangeline Life, Dixie Life, Lafourche Life and Schoen Life insurance compa-nies. He was a member of St. Jules church choir, and a 1959 graduate of LSU with a degree in business administration majoring in insur-ance and real estate. He was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi honorary fra-ternities, the Administrative Man-agement Society, the Institute of Home Office Underwriters and the LSU Alumni Federation. Dur-ing his 44 years in the insurance field, he was executive vice presi-dent of Guaranty Income Life In-surance Co. with 23 years of serv-ice. He left in 1986 and was a founder of Insurance Group of Louisiana. He was a member of numerous insurance organiza-tions, Delta Life Insurance Co., Lamana Panno & Fallo Insurance Co., Security Industrial Insurance Co. and was the marketing direc-tor of Washington Life Insurance Co. He was with the Louisiana De-partment of Insurance office of insurance receivership. He taught continuing education for ISTL in life and real estate courses and was president of LIC.
