LEBLANC, HENRY PRESTON The Advocate, Baton Rouge A devoted father and avid dancer and outdoorsman, Henry died from a heart attack on Friday, Aug. 3, 2001, at 3 p.m. at East Jefferson General Hospital, Metairie. He was 49, a resident of Slidell and a native of Baton Rouge. He worked as a claims adjuster for Ace Insurance Co. USA. He was a 1969 graduate of Glen Oaks High School and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1973. He is survived and remembered by his parents, John P. and Lena Guidry LeBlanc of Plaquemine; two sons, Andrew Preston of Lafayette and Shawn Christopher of Hayesville, N.C.; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Clarence R. "Bubby" Dupont of Plaquemine; his former wife, Susan McBride LeBlanc of Hayesville; companion, Carol Hartmann of Slidell; two nephews, John and Shannon Dupont; and a niece, Missy Dupont. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Wake was at Pellerin Funeral Home, Breaux Bridge, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday. His body will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be John Dupont, Shannon Dupont, Andrew LeBlanc, Shawn LeBlanc, Mark McBride, Mike McBride, Bruce Farmer and Buddy Dupont. He was a Boy Scout leader, a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and St. Clement Rome Catholic Single and Single Again Group.
