Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 4, 1999 at
Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home for Clarence Cormier, 86, who died at 11:00 p.m.
Sunday May 2, 1999 at his residence in Crowley.
Antoine Valdetero will officiate the services. Burial will be held in
Hanks Cemetery in Morse.
Survivors include his wife, Mary coleman Cormier; one son Chester Cormier
of Crowley, four daughters, Susie F. Faul, Dorothy Miller and Agnes Collins
all of crowley and Minnie Pearl Barbier of Merryville; one half brother, Milton
Cormier of Texas; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great
grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Maxile Cormier; one sister
Alice Rose; three brothers, Zepherine, Sylvester and Maxile Cormier, Jr and
one half brother Mikezile Cormier Jr.

in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morse, Louisiana, for
Clarence Cormer, 60, retired rice farmer who died wednesday at
his home in Morse, Louisiana
Burial followed in the Woodlawn Cemetery. He is survived by his wife
Ethel Pierce Cormier of Morse, two sons, Norris J. Cormie and Matthews
Cormier, both of Morse; three daughters, Mrs. Rowena Chaisson of Lake
Charles and Mrs. Jed Abshire and Mrs. Amos Benoit both of Morse
Two brothers, Alidia Cormier of Lake Charles and Mrs. Davis Breaux of
Crowley. 15 Grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Clarence J. Cormier, 63, were held Saturday
April 21 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Crowley with
burial following in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Cormier, a housewife , died Friday morning at her residence in Morse
She is survived by two sons, Norris Cormier and Matthew Cormier both of
Morse; three daughters, Mrs. Rowena Chaisson of Lake Charles, Mrs. Jed Abshire and
Mrs. Amos Benoit Both of Morse; four brothers, Gilbert Pierce of Mermentau
and Henry Pierce of Lake Charles, James Pierce of Crowley and Lee Pierce of
Abbeville. Mrs. Cormier also had 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Resident of Rayne died at 9:30 P.M. Tuesday March 11, 1964; at the Rayne-Branch
Hospital following and illness of about a month.
The body will remain at the Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne until time of rites
which have been set for 10:00 A.M. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in
Rayne with interment to follow in the Assumption Cemetery at Bosco (Mire) La.
Surviving are her husband, Emile Cormier of Rayne, one daughter, Mrs. Henry Abshire
of Crowley. Four sons, Emile, Jr., JLouis, Amide Cormier, all of Lafayette, and Ernest
Cormier of Crowley; 25 Grandchildren and 35 Great-grandchildren.

Rayne- Funeral Services were held at 10:00 a.m. today in the Duhon Funeral Home
Chapel in Crowley for Ernest Cormier, Sr. 79 who died Wednesday at the Rayne Guest
Home. Burial was in the St.Joseph's Old cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy 0'Campo, Diana Gonzales and Dana Mackson
all of Rayne; two sons, Rodney Cormier of Lafayette, Ernest Cormier, Jr; of Houston
Texas ; two sisters, Odile Guidry of Lafayette and Ida Stelly of Rayne.
15 Grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 1989 at Gossen Funeral Home
for Laura Cormier Short of Duson who died at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday May 24 at Our Lady of
Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Burial followed in the Arceneaux Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Allen Broussard of Scott, and Robert Short of Duson; three
daughters, Jo Anna Venable of Pardis, La, Brenda Hornsby of Lake Arthur and Janette Short
of Raleigh, N.C.; one brother, Oris Cormier of Rayne; three sisters, Josette Alleman,
Lillian Lormand and Mary Brasseaux all of Rayne. 14 Grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren

Loval Cormier, retired farmer, succumbed at the home of a grandaugter, Mrs. Henry
Alleman in Rayne at 2:45 A.M. today.
Mr. Cormier, a resident of Rayne for the past 12 years had been in ill health for the
past two-and-one-half months. Funeral services will be conducted at St.Joseph' Catholic
Church in Rayne at 9:00 A.M. Saturday with the burial in Arceneaux Cemetery.
Mr. Cormier is survived by four sons, Three daughters, 30 Grandchildren,
99 Great Grandchildren and 36 Great-Great grandchildren.

Mr. Cormier died at 10:10 A.M. Wednesday in the Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital.

of Mercy Shrine Catholic Church in Rayne for Mrs. Thelma Sonnier Cormier, age 64
who died Monday September 16, 1991.
Reverend Anthony Afangide will officiate for the services with burial to follow
in the church cemetery
Visitations will be observed this evening from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the church
Survivors include three sons, Melvin and Ernest Cormier Jr., both of Rayne and Rodney
Cormier of Houston, Texas. Two daughtes, Betty Ann and Cynthia Cormier both of Rayne
one Brother Freddie Rochon of Rayne and 10 grandchildren.

Crowley - Funeral Services will be held for Vital Cormier, 68 of Crowley at 10:00
a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crowley.
Burial will be in the Abshire Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at the
Geesey-Ferguson Funeral home at 7:30 tonight.
Mr. Cormier expired Tuesday at 9:45 p.m. at the American Legion Hospital.
He was a retired farmer.
He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Demar Simon, and Mrs. Jean Dronet of
Crowley and Mrs. Amada Guidry of Jennings.

Rites Held November 11, 1964
The Former Alida Primeaux of Crowley, Louisiana, died at her home here at
4:15 P.M. Tuesday after a long Illness.
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 A.M. today in the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Catholic Church here and burial followed in the Abshire Cemetery.
Mrs. Cormier was born in Lyons Pointe Community on 07 March 1905. She moved
to crowley from Lyons Point four years ago.
Surviving besides her husband are one brother, Marsule Primeaux of Kaplan and one
Sister, Mrs. Julian Romero of Kaplan.
